Practical portable triple-function digital instrument: Ph-meter, Thermometer, Redox potential. It allows to determine the quantity of free chlorine (ppm) in swimming pool water with accuracy and the degree of anticorrosion protection of water in heating systems, and consequently the system “health status”. In fact, the couple of values pH/redox potential determine the rH value (water oxidizing power).
1) calibrate the instrument probe using the special solution provided. 2) measure ph values and redox potential (mv). 3) determine the rH value on the graduated scale, joining the ph value and the redox potential (mv) on the De Lescouer nomogram by drawing a line. See example with rH=25. RH values between 0 and 27 determine the stability range of water. Outside this range water is highly aggressive.
