Portable digital instrument for the measurement of certain basic parameters of water potability. Electric conductivity in mS/cm, total dissolved solids in mg/l, temperature in °C. The fixed residue expressed as the quantity of dissolved solids is an indicator for both water potability and industrial and agricultural use. Water with high concentrations of dissolved solids (over 1000 mg/l) can have bad organoleptic characteristics.
Calibrate the probe using the special solution provided and after a few seconds dip it into water to be tested. Water classification: Minimally mineralized up to 50 mg/l; oligomineral or slightly mineralized up to 500 mg/l; rich in salts over 1500 mg/l; Values are parameterized by Legislative Decree 31/2001 (max value 1550 mg/l). Water with higher concentrations should be avoided also for agricultural use or for drinking trough for animals.
